Voluntary Arts has curated the annual Voluntary Arts Festival since 2012. The Festival is a chance for people to get creative – share what you already do, or try something new for the first time. In turn, the Festival shines a spotlight on the amazing work community-led groups are doing all year round across the country. This year’s Voluntary Arts Festival will take place from 5 to 14 May.
CALL OUT TO ALL COMMUNITY-LED CREATIVE GROUPS: Are you part of a theatre group? Choir? Amateur orchestra? Photography club? Knitting circle? The Voluntary Arts Festival is open to creative groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes. You could hold a taster session, open day, pop-up event or simply advertise your regular activity and make it welcoming to new people. Staging an event as part of the Voluntary Arts Festival is a great way to attract new members, raise your profile in local media, celebrate your achievements, and feel part of a nationwide event celebrating community-led, creative cultural activity.
